ORCHARD PARK — In sports, perhaps no loss
is as painful as one that stems from a missed opportunity. And judging
by the frustrated, empty stares of the North Tonawanda Lumberjacks
football coaches Friday night, that’s exactly the type of emotions they
were dealing with.
Playing mere miles from their school, the
Orchard Park Quakers scored a 28-13 victory over the Lumberjacks in the
Section VI Class AA title game at Ralph Wilson Stadium. It’s the third
time in the past five seasons Orchard Park has eliminated NT in the
finals.
“We made a couple mistakes here and there and gave them
short fields,” NT coach Eric Jantzi said. “Good teams take advantage of
that. They’re one of the
50th Birthday Party Information
Well, 2009 is a big year for us as we
turn 50. We'd like to offer the opportunity for classmates to describe
their plans for celebrating their 50th birthday - especially if it will
involve other class members. Click on the Email us tab on the left and
let us know what you are planning to do. We'll create a separate tab to
house all the 50th birthday information we collect. Also, it would be
fun if you included a recent picture of yourself as we'd like to include
more current pictures of classmates.
Ski Trip Pictures
Several classmates got together early
this year and had fun skiing at Kissing
Bridge. Classmates included Steve Fisher, Stan Grabowski,
Louise Kubiniec/Schultz and her huband Earl. Feel free to send
in pictures of classmate gatherings and I'll add them to the
website.
